Tree Lungs by Loop.pH

Commissioned by the French cultural arts organization Lille300, London-based design studio Loop.pH created EnergyFutures, a series of installations in the park and design science workshops, for the Fantastic 2012 arts festival.  "Tree Lungs" is a tree-top light installation that inspires the inhabitants of Lille to re-imagine and redefine their future parks as local energy orchards, augmenting trees into power plants to convert daylight into electricity.

The festival runs from October 6, 2012 – January 13, 2013.
