Spanish collective Luzinterruptus created this traffic-stopping light installation "Literature Versus Traffic" for The Light in Winter (June 1 – July 1, 2012). This year’s program was inspired by the National Year of the Reading and celebrated the enlightenment that reading sheds on our lives. Using 10,000 illuminated re-claimed books, Luzinterruptus transformed Flinders Street in Melbourne into a bibliophile's paradise and caused people to pause in wonder.
