Japanese artist Sachiko Abe’s work encompasses performance, drawing, film and sculptural installations using cut papers accumulated over the last eight years. Her practice explores duration, repetition and constraints. As part of her performance 'Cut Papers #13' for this year's 18th Biennale of Sydney, she continuously cut simple sheets of white paper into fine threads, which amass around her.
You can catch her performance during the Biennale of Sydney in Building 101, Lower Cockatoo Island. 25 July -16 September 2012 . (full schedule)
