James Turrell’s “Twilight Epiphany” at Rice University

This highly anticipated skyspace by American artist James Turrell was opened to the public on June 14. This pyramid-like structure allows visitors to gaze up at the 72-by-72-foot white roof through a 14-by-14-foot opening from the comfort of the lower and upper viewing areas.  LED light performance is also projected on the white ceiling and changes colors as the sun rises and sets.
