New York-based artist Jacob Hashimoto is famous for his densely layered tapestry comprised of small bamboo and paper kite-like elements. This mesmorizing installation 'Silence Still Governs Our Consciousness' was created specificly for MACRO Rome Contemporary Art Museum back in 2010. This cloud of 7000 paper kites filled the exhibition space and evoked a sense of "being surrounded by a mist filled forest of kites and strings – a quiet, meditative, sculptural environment."
