Spanish collective luzinterruptus address another environmental issue in Madrid with their latest installation Malas Hierbas Mutantes (Mutan Weeds). The City Council of Madrid allows more powerful lighting to be used for pharmacy signs, which transforms the area outside each pharmacy into a disturbingly unnatural green place. Using fluorescent sticks, luzinterruptus creates a new species of photosenstive plant that may grow in the asphalt and nourish by the "low" light emitted from the pharmacy sign.
