Skylight and Spectra, an alluring site specific installation by Chicago-based artist Dianna Frid was exhibited at the Neues Kunstforum Cologne, Germany in 2010. With metallic adhesives, some paint and color foils, she transformed the lobby floor into a massive drawing of spectra of reflected light.
Raised in Mexico City and Vancouver, Frid is Assistant Professor in Studio Arts in the College of Architecture and the Arts at the University of Illinois at Chicago. More images of this installation can be found on her website.
