World renowned documentary photographer Mark Tipple is dedicated to seeking social change in Australia and surrounding countries. As the principal photographer of The Underwater Project, an ongoing reportage documenting Australia’s relationship with the ocean, he aims to bring light to stories traditional media shies away from. He saw the potential of using his photography as a way to raise public environmental awareness.
I realized that humanitarian concerns can’t be divorced from environmental ones – they’re one and the same. ~ Mark Tipple
