Sensing Responding by Sophia Sobers

Using a motion sensor to control LED brightness, Sophia Sobers creates an interactive installation that visualizes how trees response to human presence.  Sobers' passion lies in combining art with technology, which unequivocally makes her  "an artist in practice and a scientist at heart".

My focus is on the cycle of growth & decay, investigating the in-between states of life and death, where transformation and transition occurs. ~ Sophia Sobers

Sophia Sobers is an interdisciplinary artist and designer, who is currently attending RISD’s Digital + Media program.
