The project POOP SCOOP (Perception Of Offensive Products and Sensorized Control Of Object Pickup) focuses on teaching a PR2 robot to identify potentially offensive objects to handle accordingly. Researchers at the GRASP lab at the University of Pennsylvania programmed their PR2 to recognize and pick up all POOPs ( (Potentially Offensive Objects for Pickup) in an area. The robot can also detect whether or not it has successfully accomplished the mission or not, that is dropping the poop in a bucket.
