New York-based contemporary artist Angelo Musco is best known for photographic surreal landscapes built by thousands of nude bodies, where the natural architectures and visionary landscapes are filled with the haunting mysticism of his own origins.
In 2011, he has completed two projects, Xylem and Ovum. The later is a natural extension of Xylem, a mystical forest, constructed by a million nude bodies. Originally conceived as a smaller work moving from trees to branches and twigs, Ovum's interweaving of individual bodies became a near obsession in precision and meticulous manipulation culminating in the use of over 2 million bodies.
