This giant sleeping cat was one of the artworks exhibited in a site-specific project called HABITAT back in 2010. Artists from around the world occupied eight apartments in an empty building in Belgium, using the vacant spaces to create their own interpretation of the concept of ‘living’. It was a farewell party for the entire neighborhood, before it makes way for brand new social housing.
However, we are having trouble letting go of this giant sleeping cat In the master bedroom. During the exhibition, visitors were free to sit on its lap. Perhaps by posting it under "Product Design", someone out there might catch the subtle meaning behind our none-so-cryptic message: It sure makes one comfy couch in the living room.
